Discomfort Tolerance = Happiness

Learning how to get through uncomfortable emotions without having to constantly avoid or distract makes the discomfort lose its power over time. Even the best life will inevitably involve moments of disappointment, anxiety, and irritation. Having ways to respond well to these feelings increases the chances for a happier life. 

Sitting down for 5 minutes and feeling the sensations related to emotional discomfort builds resiliance. 

Ask yourself “What precisely is so uncomfortable about this experience?”. 
Is it a physical senssation of tension? Is it a feeling of fear or guilt?
The more you can articulate, name, describe the discomfort….the more choices you will have regarding how you can move through it.
