When something has coherence, all of its parts fit together well. Coherence comes from a Latin word meaning “to stick together".
One way to practice being more coherent is to ask yourself "Is what I am thinking, feeling, and doing correlating with one another"? These need to be in synch with each other for good mental health. If thoughts, feelings, and actions are in conflict, then negative feelings are the result.
You will be tested to keep these things in balance because thoughts, feelings, and actions are always shifting and being shaped by circumstances. It’s not always easy for these things to be in alignment. The more aware you are about yourself the more you are able to "keep it together" and move through life in alignment with your most intelligent and best self.
Many outside forces contribute to a sense of incoherence. Stress, trauma, depression.... repression. If you are not in alignment then it's good to know that.....and steps can be taken to "pull yourself together".
